About the Role
* We are seeking a proactive Business Development Executive to drive growth in our wholesale and trade segments.
The successful candidate will lead sales efforts within a designated geographic region, cultivating relationships with key partners, managing supplier communications, and representing us at trade events. Their work will directly contribute to increased occupancy, revenue, and brand awareness across our Australian portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
* Pursue new business opportunities that contribute to increased account production from the wholesale/trade segment.
* Cultivate relationships with key clients and partners in the luxury travel market.
* Organize and coordinate formal meetings, supplier visits, and site inspections.
* Ensure effective logistics, documentation, and stakeholder communication management.
* Capture and report on outcomes from inspections and engagements.
* Analyze market trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning.
* Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to drive occupancy and maximize revenue across our properties.
* Maintain stakeholder information regarding sales developments.
* Attend local and international trade events to increase brand awareness.
* Collaborate with the marketing team on advertising collateral development.
* Manage supplier contracts according to business policies and legal requirements.
* Provide regular reporting as directed by the Group Director of Sales.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in business development or account management within the wholesale or trade segment.
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
* Strong understanding of supplier relationship management and contract processes.
* Excellent organizational and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
* Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
