The Ranges Early Learning and Care Centres is a respected provider of early childhood education in Stirling, South Australia, known for its nurturing and creative learning environment. Guided by the Reggio Emilia Approach, Our client is seeking to add a Childcare Worker to support the development, wellbeing, and daily care of children through engaging, play-based learning experiences.
The typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
* Assist in preparing educational materials and setting up engaging learning environments for children
* Support daily routines including meals, rest periods, and structured play activities
* Supervise children during indoor and outdoor recreational activities to ensure safety
* Encourage positive behaviour and guide children's social and emotional development
* Facilitate age-appropriate learning experiences through play-based and creative activities
* Maintain high standards of hygiene and assist children with personal care routines
* Build strong, supportive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators
* Observe and document children's development and learning progress regularly
* Ensure compliance with centre policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements
* Engage children through storytelling, music, games, and imaginative play
* Promote inclusive practices that respect each child's individuality and cultural background
* Collaborate with team members to deliver consistent, high-quality care and education
* Support implementation of the Reggio Emilia-inspired learning philosophy
* Maintain clean, organised, and safe learning environments at all times
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role:
* Hold a Certificate III in
Early Childhood Education and Care or higher qualification
* Minimum 12 months experience supporting young children's development within a structured childcare or early learning environment
* Strong understanding of child development principles and play-based learning approaches in early childhood education
* Ability to build trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues in a collaborative team environment
* Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene standards within an early childhood education setting
* Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children and support their learning experiences
* Commitment to fostering inclusive, respectful, and supportive environments for children from diverse backgrounds
