Ventia has been engaged by the Department of Justice and Community Safety to provide integrated facility management services incorporating planned, preventive, and reactive maintenance services, as well as ad-hoc services and soft services including cleaning, grounds, pest, and waste streams.
About the Role
The Trades Assistant will play a key role in our team, operating across facilities in the Barwon Precinct (Lara region) for planned, reactive, remedial, and ad-hoc maintenance activities. We are also seeking a Trade Assistant at one of our facilities in Corio (Geelong).
Responsibilities
* Participate in a multiskilled team to deliver high-quality facility management and maintenance services
* Complete planned maintenance activities across multiple assets associated with large facilities
* Complete reactive maintenance activities across sites within required timeframes
* Assist electricians, plumbers, carpenters, painters, or other trade-qualified employees with completing time-critical maintenance, repairs, or minor projects
* Manage work orders for all works completed within required timeframes
* Maintain high standards of compliance and drive safety, health, environment, and quality in your work
About You
You will have experience as a Trades Assistant in large facilities, ideally working in a time-critical environment with a focus on planned and reactive maintenance.
* Demonstrated experience in time-critical rectification and reporting
* Capability in maintaining scheduled work plans
* Competence in a team environment
* Desire to learn and complete minor training packages as needed
* A current unrestricted driver's licence
* Ability to complete and pass a National Police Check and Medical
* Ability to evidence full COVID vaccinations
