Are you looking for a Trades Assistant role on Afternoon Shift that could see you being utilised across a number of fleet projects? We have opportunities throughout the Brisbane City Council's Transport division that are looking for mechanical Trades Assistants.
About your new role
Working with different divisions you will get exposure to various tasks, learning new skills as you go. Ideally, you will have experience in mechanical, workshop or general labouring roles. With varying roles, the duties will change however you can expect some of the following:
* Workshop/Mechanical labouring - workshop maintenance, generalised mechanical duties including fluid changing, tyre fitting, parts fitting, vehicle wrapping, vehicle refuelling, auditing, safety checking, general repairs, parts ordering, stocktake etc.
What you will need to exceed
We are looking for experienced trades assistants who are reliable and enjoy providing high-quality work. A strong sense of teamwork a commitment to safety and ensuring all work is conducted according to safety procedures and guidelines is beneficial.
Mandatory:
* MR/HR Class drivers licence - necessary
* Work safety in the Construction Industry (White Card) - necessary
* Varying experience is beneficial and preferred, along with the skills to work across different industries if required.
Highly Desirable:
* Qualifications/Trade Experience in heavy vehicle machinery or similar
