Job Title: Real Estate Acquisition Specialist
Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the acquisition and management of government employee housing properties. This role involves researching, analyzing, and reporting on property-related transactions, as well as developing written correspondence and briefings for departmental use.
Key Responsibilities:
* Research and analyze properties to determine their value and potential for acquisition.
* Develop and maintain relationships with real estate agents, valuation services, and other stakeholders to source available properties.
* Manage and report on property-related transactions, including valuations, asset transfers, land tenure issues, native title assessments, and subdivisions.
* Coordinate technical due diligence and legal services to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
* Negotiate with real estate agents to agree on price and other terms for property.
* Prepare and execute land contracts in conjunction with a legal officer.
Requirements:
* Demonstrated prior relevant experience in real estate acquisition and management.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
