With our company going through a transformation phase, this role will be pivotal in helping take our results to the next level. You will be eager to learn on the job, gain essential industry knowledge and skills, and build strong working relationships with vendor and in-house teams.
Typical Day
Maintain an understanding of the vendors competitive landscape and become vendor evangelist for the business
Proactively work with key customers to generate repeat business
Meet with both vendors and resellers and assist with new business development and identification of new sales channels
Assist in setting pricing strategies and create a channel management structure
Ordering and forecasting stock, managing inventory and ensuring adequate levels of stock are on hand
Manage internal ERP functions to allow simple and streamlined ordering
Work with vendor partners and the internal marketing team in aligning the messaging for promotional activities, product launches and showcases
Manage and execute internal sales training and enablement
Prepare communications related to business development opportunities, including proposals, quotations and presentations
Work within KPIs to achieve vendor and company targets
Work at, or attend trade & expo stands
Reporting as required
Skills and Experience Required
High level of relationship building skills to maximise development of initial customer relationships and then longer-term business outcomes
Ability to sell a product portfolio to both external and internal stakeholders
Sound analytical and problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to use various sales methods to reach the desired goal
Ability to understand, interpret and adapt to new technology of products
Demonstrated experience of proactive client engagement
Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
The ability to meet strict deadlines & work autonomously
