Join Pearl Home Care Newcastle and Hunter team as a Resource Coordinator and Rostering Officer.
This position supports the team by coordinating service delivery and creating positive experiences for both clients and staff. The role focuses on effective scheduling, business operations, and ensuring high-quality care for consumers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate the scheduling and rostering of staff, manage and support staff, process staff timesheets for payment and ensure that consumers receive high-quality care.
* Process staff timesheets for payment ensuring that all timesheets are accurate and complete, checking that all services have been provided as scheduled, and forwarding the timesheets to the finance team for processing.
* Manage after-hours rostering requirements for diverse operational needs.
* Act as the point of contact for staff and consumer enquiries via phone, email, and in-person.
* Work alongside the management team for resource allocation, supporting financial and resource management, including reporting and project assistance.
* Provide support, guidance, and supervision to staff to ensure that they are delivering services to consumers in accordance with service standards and best practices.
Skills and Requirements:
* Minimum 1 year experience in rostering, scheduling and/or administration in the health or home care industry.
* Demonstrated knowledge in the SCHADS and Nurses Award.
* Proficiency with Microsoft apps and database applications.
* Personal reliability and willingness to learn scheduling and financial systems.
* Demonstrated understanding of Work Health and Safety policies and issues.
* Strong communication and time management skills.
Mandatory Clearances:
* Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Human Resources or a related field preferable.
* National Criminal Clearance Check conducted within the last 12 months.
* Evidence of relevant vaccination.
* 100 point check documents.
* First aid certificate.
* Owns reliable smartphone.
* The right to work in Australia.
Employment status:
Casual with a view to permanent part-time/full-time for suitable candidates.
Hourly rate:
$43.00-$44.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Penalty rates, superannuation are also included. Pay rates are regularly reviewed to ensure fairness and satisfaction is maintained.
