Community Prevention Specialist Role Overview
The organization seeks a Community Prevention Specialist to lead the coordination and delivery of a community-led initiative focused on preventing Domestic, Family, and Sexual Violence (DFSV). This role will facilitate culturally grounded consultations across communities, providing education on DFSV, promoting support services, and fostering understanding of healing pathways.
* Culturally safe consultations across communities
* Community-based education on DFSV and available support services
* Healing-centred activities such as storytelling sessions and group workshops
* Collaboration with community leaders for cultural alignment
This role is suitable for a male specialist who can work primarily with male community members and young men in alignment with cultural protocols. The successful applicant will be grounded, empathetic, and non-judgmental with strong relationship-building and facilitation skills.
