Electrical Installation Specialist
This role involves performing electrical installations to complete the assembly of trains. You will work with a team to install and assemble railway vehicle components using standard work procedures, hand & power tools.
* Read, apply technical documentation supplied.
* Install and assemble railway vehicle components using standard work procedures, hand & power tools.
* Perform basic testing and support troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical systems and components installed in the railway car.
* Use and manipulate lifting and transporting devices such as overhead cranes to install, replace and align subassemblies and components.
* Perform self-Inspection of railway car components in order to identify defects and ensure quality.
* Remove and replace defective parts and components.
* Proficiently cross reference technical documents and highlight any discrepancies to the supervisor.
* Work closely with support functions to identify and propose suggestions for continuous improvement.
* Organize work instruction documents, tools and railway car parts daily.
Key Requirements
* Certificate III in Electrotechnology – Electrician or Grade Electrical License.
* Experience within manufacturing environment is advantageous.
* Ability to interpret technical diagrams & drawings.
* High risk tickets or licenses would be advantageous (but not mandatory).

This is a full-time position with two flexible shifts: day shift from 7am to 4:30pm, Monday to Thursday, or afternoon shift from 4pm to 1am, Monday to Thursday. Shifts are fixed for 12 months.
