genU is looking for Support Workers who can team up with our customers to help them unleash their full potential. You will be making a real impact by helping people with disabilities through accommodation and community engagement.
We're recruiting for multiple permanent (60+ hours per fortnight) and casual roles. Shifts run between 6am and 6pm, Monday to Sunday, with possible overnight shifts. Please indicate your work preference in your application.
What you'll do
* Support person-centred plans that identify a customer's life goals and working to achieve them
* Join customers in the community and do recreational activities
* Support customers in accommodation with daily living skills such as meal preparation, housekeeping, showering and toileting, medication administration and attending appointments
* Ensure positive behaviour support plans are followed
* Administration duties and mandatory reporting
What you'll bring
* An understanding and enthusiasm for working alongside people with disabilities
* Willingness to assist with personal care and domestic duties experience
* Well developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
* Ability to follow person centred plans and assist people to achieve their goals and outcomes
* Certificate III in Individual Support (CHC33015 or CHC33021) - beneficial
* A valid drivers licence and willingness to use your private vehicle (aligned with genU motor vehicle allowance rebate)
You'll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don't worry, we'll help guide you through this.
