Foodworks Supermarket located in Whitebridge is a family owned supermarket that prides itself on providing the local community with a great range of fresh food and every day grocery essentials along with outstanding customer service.
We are expanding our team.
An exciting prospect has opened up for a Retail Assistant who will work across a range of departments with a focus on customer service.
The successful applicant will have seven day availability with the ability to work a flexible roster.
Opportunities exist for the successful applicant to progress to permanent part time, full time and / or management positions.
We are seeking employees who are looking for long term stable employment.
Australian work rights are required for this position.
A typical shift at FoodWorks is fast paced and varied.
Responsibilities
- Our retail assistants are responsible for providing outstanding customer service to our local community, building rapport with local customers whilst providing them with grocery essentials and fresh food.
- Daily tasks include serving customers using POS technology, filling shelves with daily deliveries and ensuring that the store is kept clean and tidy at all times.
Qualifications / Desirable experience
- Be energetic, enthusiastic and passionate about providing outstanding customer service.
- Have strong communication skills, the ability to follow instructions, show initiative and perhaps lead a team.
- Be willing to work some weekends.
- Have excellent computer and technology skills (desirable).
- Have experience working in a Delicatessen (desirable).
- Have experience working in a food retail store (desirable).
- Have experience managing and motivating a small team (desirable).
