We are seeking an experienced Lecturer (Level B) or Senior Lecturer (Level C) to make significant contributions to high‐quality teaching, scholarship, research and professional activities, with particular interest in teaching Priestley 11 subjects, including Ethics and Professional Responsibility in Practice.
Key Responsibilities – Lecturer (Level B)
* Foster an outstanding student experience and encourage active participation across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
* Continuously improve teaching practice through professional development and critical reflection informed by a range of evaluation approaches.
* Inform the quality, innovation, and evidence‐base of teaching through scholarly activities, commitments, and outputs.
* Provide educational contributions through responsibility for academic courses.
* Contribute to the advancement of knowledge through a balanced research portfolio of high‐quality outputs that demonstrate impact.
* Undertake research that has the potential to achieve impact on policy and practice in the wider community.
* Contribute to the enhancement of the School/Department standing and reputation by promoting educational and research activities with external communities.
Key Responsibilities – Senior Lecturer (Level C)
* Develop and implement evidence‐based strategies that facilitate improved student retention, employability and successful outcomes for students.
* Provide educational leadership to a discipline, including responsibility for academic courses and programs.
* Undertake high‐quality research that may have measurable impact on policy and practice in the wider community and attract competitive research funding.
* Provide academic leadership ensuring consistently high‐quality experiences and outcomes for higher degree research (HDR) candidates.
* Promote and enhance HDR programs and adopt strategies to encourage a pipeline of strong HDR students.
* Provide research leadership to the Department/School through collaboration with other staff and/or by leading a research team.
* All responsibilities for Level B also apply.
Qualifications
* Level B: hold a doctoral or masters qualification of equivalent accreditation and standing, and/or significant progress toward completion of a doctoral degree in a relevant discipline.
* Level C: hold a doctoral qualification or equivalent accreditation and standing.
* Demonstrated ability to deliver high‐quality teaching and engage students effectively.
* Proven ability to develop and implement innovative curriculum and teaching materials.
* Demonstrated experience in providing academic support and mentoring to students.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and engagement in scholarly activities relevant to teaching.
* Demonstrated ability to conduct and publish quality research.
* Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to interdisciplinary projects.
Salary Range
Academic Level B: $117,076 – $139,031 per annum base salary, plus 17% superannuation. Total FTE package: $136,979 – $162,667 per annum.
Academic Level C: $143,418 – $165,374 per annum base salary, plus 17% superannuation. Total FTE package: $167,799 – $193,487 per annum.
