We’re open to a hybrid working style; spend time in the office and at home.Reporting to:General Manager Risk, Compliance and InsuranceThe role:Elevate and implement our ambitious regulatory compliance uplift program as well as our compliance maturity across the organisation. You will possess deep knowledge of National Electricity Market (NEM) regulations, operational compliance frameworks, and best practices in the energy sector. You will lead the regulatory compliance process and provide regulatory compliance expertise across the business.Key responsibilities will include:Collaborate with a broad range of internal stakeholders including the Delivery and Engineering Operations teams across the business.Develop plans, policies, and procedures to demonstrate compliance including key contracts and suppliers.Manage the Enterprise Compliance repository, maintain compliance resources, and provide expert guidance across the business to embed a culture of compliance and ethical governance across the organisation.Prepare quarterly compliance reports, assist in monitoring activities, and ensure accuracy through collaboration.Participate in business improvement projects and provide actionable insights to enhance efficiency and compliance effectiveness.Oversee the accurate migration of all documented obligations into the GRC System.Elevate and implement our Enterprise Compliance Management Framework (ECMF) and advance adherence to ISO 37301 standards.What you'll bring:Deep understanding of the NER and compliance obligations for generators and/or Integrated Resource Providers (IRP) in the NEM.Familiarity with broader energy sector regulations/compliance frameworks such as environmental laws and safety standards that could impact generators in the NEM.Expertise in embedding a culture of compliance and ethical governance and overseeing and delivering compliance initiatives.Expertise in implementing and using compliance software systems with solid project management experience.Knowledge of change management principles to successfully implement compliance initiatives and software systems within the organisation.Understanding of risk assessment processes and methodologies to proactively identify compliance risks.Please be aware you must be an Australian Citizen, hold permanent residency status, or have existing AU working rights to apply for this role.
