About the Role
Reporting to the Directors, you will be responsible for assisting with the delivery of high-quality accounting and taxation services to a diverse portfolio of clients. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage workflow efficiently will be essential for success in this role.
This is an on-site role with opportunities for professional development, training, and long-term career progression within the firm.
Key Responsibilities
• General bookkeeping, including bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable and data entry
• Preparation and lodgement of Activity Statements (GST, PAYG Withholding, Instalments)
• Payroll processing, including superannuation, leave entitlements and tax obligations
• Preparing supporting documents and workpapers for tax returns and financial statements
• Communicating with clients via phone, email and in-person, with support from senior team members
• Assisting in maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring timely delivery of services
• Managing your own workflow, including job prioritisation and meeting deadlines
• Supporting senior accountants and Directors in compliance and advisory work

Highly Regarded Skills & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Progress towards CPA/CA qualification is highly regarded
• Experience with Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar cloud accounting software
• Strong understanding of accounts payable/receivable management
• Ability to prepare or assist with financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual)
• Experience with BAS, STP, payroll and general compliance obligations
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• High attention to detail and strong self-review skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a cohesive team
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate work to deadlines
