What You'll Do
Key Accountabilities
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all functions and events, ensuring seamless delivery and high client satisfaction.
- Proactively seek and secure new bookings, build relationships with local businesses, and drive event revenue growth.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, stakeholders, suppliers and operational partners ensuring smooth communication and exceptional service delivery.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to promote the venue on social media, develop sales strategies and attract new business.
- Manage event budgets, control costs, and ensure profitability while meeting revenue targets.
- Coordinate with internal teams (kitchen, bar, and operations) to ensure high-quality service and event success.
- Oversee booking systems, maintain procedure manuals, update menus and assist with front‑house operations as required.
- Recruit, train, and oversee event staff, ensuring efficient service and adherence to venue standards.
- Maintain high presentation and service standards across all function spaces.
- Ensure all events comply with health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations.
- Monitor event sales, client feedback, and key performance metrics to improve future events and increase revenue.
What We're Looking For
Essential Skills And Qualifications
- Relevant professional certifications in hospitality management or related areas.
- 5+ years of experience in hospitality management, particularly in functions and events.
- Understanding of food and beverage service, event logistics, and hospitality operations.
- Experience in managing event budgets, pricing structures, and cost control for profitability.
- Proficiency in hospitality management systems and operations.
- Robust client engagement skills, with a focus on delivering outstanding guest experiences.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills to manage a diverse team and ensure smooth operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with guests, staff and vendors.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise and work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- WA Approved Manager Certification.
- National Police Check.
About the Venue
The new East Fremantle Community Park will be a welcoming and vibrant local space where sports, leisure and recreation thrive together, thereby delivering a new model for the integration of an iconic WAFL club into the community, guided by the mantra: “Gather Recreate Celebrate”. The venue offers a café, full‑service restaurant and bar, a large function centre, and a range of leisure activities for children and adults of all abilities, including a state‑of‑the‑art fitness centre incorporating gym, group fitness, indoor cycling and Reformer Pilates. There is also a football oval which is home to the East Fremantle Football Club, two bowls greens used by the East Fremantle Bowls Club and three croquet greens where the East Fremantle Croquet Club play. The precinct also includes a community garden, a small community facility, skate park, half‑court basketball court and a dog park.
