Job Description:
We are seeking motivated and capable PhD students to join a multi-disciplinary research team at Macquarie University to work on an exciting project combining field ecology with genetic approaches for conservation.
This project aims to develop and field trial novel technologies for the control of cane toads across northern Australia, which will have relevance to the control of invasive species globally.
The successful candidate/s will contribute to a dynamic team with strong links to government agencies and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:
* Demonstrate field ecology experience, such as wildlife surveys, animal handling, behavioural observations, and remote-area fieldwork
* Show interest in invasive species management and wildlife conservation
* Work effectively both independently and in a team environment
* Be willing to live at a remote tropical field station for parts of the project
* Demonstrate initiative, resilience, and problem-solving ability, especially in field contexts
