The Maternal and Child Health Service provides primary community care services for children and families in the Rockhampton, Gracemere, and Mount Morgan geographical area. This service offers a child-centered approach, focusing on health promotion, early detection, and intervention.
About the Role
As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide advanced clinical skills and expertise in client management, ensuring quality standards are met. You will work autonomously within the healthcare team structure and contribute to the planning, managing, and delivering of child health nurse care.
This role involves providing clinical leadership for professional and clinical practice, education, and research. You will also support management activities and possess portfolio responsibilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and a current practicing certificate.
* Possession of a postgraduate qualification in Child and Family Health and current clinical practice experience in Child and Family Health.
* Highly desirable: completion of an immunisation course approved by Queensland Health and the ability to complete Central Queensland credentialing application for immunisation. Lactation consultant qualifications.
