The Role
As a Property and Commercial Lawyer, you will be responsible for:
* Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts for the sale and purchase of property.
* Advising clients on property transactions, including residential, commercial and industrial properties.
* Conducting due diligence, including title searches and property investigations.
* Managing property settlements and liaising with relevant stakeholders such as real estate agents, banks and other legal representatives.
* Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements, including leases, business sale agreements and shareholder agreements.
* Providing legal advice on compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
* Assisting with business acquisitions, mergers and disposals.
File Management
* Taking main carriage of files, ensuring timely and efficient progress of matters.
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all client matters.
* Ensuring compliance with legal and ethical obligations in the management of client files.
Client Management
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
* Providing clear, concise and practical legal advice tailored to client needs.
* Managing client expectations and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
* Working closely with a partner of the firm who will provide guidance and supervision as required.
* Collaborating with other team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A minimum of 2-3 years post-admission experience in property and commercial law.
* Admission to practice law in NSW is required for this position.
* Strong organisational and time management skills to handle multiple files and deadlines.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
* A proactive and self-motivated approach to work, with the ability to work independently while seeking guidance when necessary.
* A commitment to professional development and staying up to date with changes in property and commercial law.
