Job Summary:
Our organization is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our healthcare team. This role is responsible for assessing, treating, and educating patients with developmental speech and communication difficulties/disorders.
The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team that serves a community of approximately 19,000 residents. Our facility provides emergency services, acute, rehabilitation, and complex continuing care inpatient services, as well as diagnostic and ambulatory services.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's Level Degree in Speech Language Pathology, be registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO), and possess previous experience working with children.
* Identifies and addresses developmental speech and communication difficulties/disorders in children
* Provides education to patients, families, and team members on effective communication strategies
* Manages a caseload, prioritizing cases and ensuring successful outcomes
* Collaborates with the healthcare team regarding assessment findings and treatment plans
In addition to their clinical responsibilities, the successful applicant will also provide consulting services to our hospital inpatient population by conducting swallowing assessments and providing swallowing therapy.
