Academic in Nursing
We are seeking a highly skilled Academic to join our team. As an Academic, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of curriculum, coordinate subjects, teach and support students as they learn.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences that meet the needs of our students.
You will also have the opportunity to engage in scholarly work relevant to the development of learning and teaching in your discipline or professional field.
The successful candidate will have a strong academic background in nursing and experience in teaching, curriculum development, and subject coordination.
A Registered Nurse with a Master's degree or equivalent accreditation and standing recognised by the University/profession as appropriate for the Nursing/Midwifery disciplines, you will have demonstrated effectiveness in teaching, curriculum development, and subject coordination in face-to-face, blended, and/or online modes.
Clinical currency in professional nursing is essential, as well as the ability to encourage intellectual development, discipline development, and career aspirations of students.

About the Position
This is a full-time position available at our Bundoora campus. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work without the need for close supervision and will be expected to develop curriculum, coordinate subjects, teach and support students as they learn.
The School of Nursing and Midwifery has immersed the curricula and research within a range of clinical contexts. We offer undergraduate, postgraduate, and higher degree research programs.
An essential element is the establishment of Clinical Schools based at Alfred Health, Austin Health, Northern Health, and Melbourne Health networks. These schools enable students' direct access to expert clinicians and clinical services and provide a rich environment for clinically relevant research and practice change.
The Bachelor of Nursing students are based at a clinical school for the third year of the program, with all relevant third-year theory and clinical practicum provided within the clinical school networks.
The School has a long-established national and international reputation in nursing and midwifery research and education.
