Lead the Underground Mining Initiative
Northern Star Resources Limited is seeking an Alternate Underground Manager to join our team at the KCGM Operations in Kalgoorlie, Australia. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in upholding our STARR Core Values of Safety, Teamwork, Accountability, Respect, and Results.
* Directly control, manage, and supervise the operational and technical services team, including external mining contractors to safely achieve our agreed business plans.
* Prepare forecasts and develop mining strategy with assistance from the geology department, planning and production engineering teams to deliver on mining cost, mine development, ore productions and key infrastructure upgrades to maximise the mine's contribution to the wider operation.
* Maintain regular communication with mine personnel to share updates, direction, and performance targets.
Requirements:
* WA Underground First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency.
* Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution.
* Demonstrable experience in underground mine management at a minimum Alternate Underground Manager level.
