About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about creating successful employment outcomes for people with disability. As an Employment Support Officer (ESO), you will provide on the job training and coaching to supported employees who work across a variety of Knoxbrooke Social Enterprises in West Gippsland, including a gardening service, retail store and two cafes. You'll work within a team to ensure supported employees can grow their skills, confidence and job satisfaction, and work closely with site Supervisors and Practice Leaders.

What you'll do

* Provide training to build confidence and skills in Supported Employees.
* Deliver job coaching (to assist Supported Employees to achieve improved performance and productivity, higher on the job engagement and overall job satisfaction.
* Provide immediate incident support or behaviour support assistance or response, as required.
* Document the delivery of all training, coaching and support (evidence) and expand support profiles as required.
* Assist with the wage assessment process as part of the Supported Wage System (SWS).
* Assist supported employees where required, with daily work tasks such as clocking in and submitting leave requests
* Operate collaboratively with the Practice Leader and operational Supervisors to ensure Knoxbrooke's supported employees experience consistent, comprehensive and effective coaching, training, support and daily employment direction.
* Where appropriate and practical, provide occasional onsite assistance if required to maintain business continuity, when operating at a community social enterprise.

About you

* Ability to lead best practice by role modelling and guiding others
* Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
* Diploma in Community Services or similar
* Minimum 1 to 2 years' experience working within the disability services sector and/or providing support to individuals with disability (essential)
* Previous experience working within a Supported Employment environment (preferred)
* Experience in working collaboratively and effectively with different teams is essential
* Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook)
* Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate
* Current CPR certificate
* Current valid drivers' licence
