gama environmental is looking for an Associate Director – Land Contamination to lead our Environmental division into its next stage of growth.

About the role
This role can be clearly broken down into the following high-level areas of responsibility and involvement:
· Proactive business, relationship, and growth strategy development together with the Environmental Director
· Team management and development
· Supplier / subcontractor identification and management
· Systems development and improvement
· Compliance management
· Health, safety, environmental, and quality management
· Communication (internal and external).
You will report to, and be supported by, the Environmental Director and business owners.

What you will bring to the team:
previous experience and knowledge of soil, groundwater, air and sediment sampling fieldwork
Bachelor of Science (e.g., geology, hydrogeology, environmental) or Environmental Engineering degree
an enthusiastic interest in contaminated land assessment/remediation
attention to detail and a desire to provide solution-oriented service
comprehension of national and state legislation, regulation, and industry guidelines
excellent writing, verbal communication, and problem-solving skills
ability to work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary team
willingness and ability to undertake fieldwork, sometimes at remote sites with minimal supervision
driver's licence
willingness to comply with all statutory and company health and safety policies, standards and procedures and instigate and follow safe work practices
a keenness to learn new skills and enthusiasm for taking on tasks that may be outside your position description or comfort zone
a philosophy of continuous improvement to facilitate the development and refinement of practices and procedures in the business.
