Quality Manager | Preparing for the Next Aged Care Y2K Event
Location: South Brisbane
Salary: $125,000 + Super
Hours:Full-Time, 1 day WFH after probation
Not even 3 hours after relocating to Brisbane, I met with someone who took me on a conversational rollercoaster. She had me in awe at her journey, in stitches from her humour, in admiration of hre values and in love with her energy.
She's Real, Raw, and Runs through brick walls for her team. She is the biggest selling point here. She doesn't do "scripts" and she doesn't "work in the gray." If you find a gap in compliance, she wants you to call it out so it can be fixed. No ego, no hiding mistakes. Just moral, ethical care.
She heads up a community-based provider in South Brisbane, and if you're tired of the usual corporate "care speak," you're going to want to hear about this one.
The industry is currently facing a massive hurdle with Support at Home. While most providers are scrambling to figure out how to provide 100% service on those 60% interim funding entitlements, my client is looking further ahead.
They have over 1,000 CHSP clients transitioning on July 1st, 2027. They aren't waiting for the deadline to hit; they are treating it like a full-scale stress test for the organization.
They need a Quality Manager with a clinical background to come in now and spend the next 18 months making sure the quality systems and clinical governance can actually handle that kind of scale.
The Setup:
* Community-First: They've been around for 40 years. They care about the elders, not a dividend.
* Flexibility: "Family First" is a real thing here. If you need to attend an award ceremony, or be with your family, you've got the green light.
* WFH... eventually. They'll need you around for the most part, but after probation, it's only fair to be able to work from home at least once a week assuming you've put everything in place.
* Systems: They are currently implementing AlayaCare and MOA. You'll be the person translating "nursy" clinical requirements into these systems to make sure nothing slips through the cracks during the 2027 rollout.
What you need:
* AHPRA Registration as an RN. You need the clinical authority to guide the team on PEG feeds, meds, and palliative care.
* Aged Care Experience. You know the standards and you've been through the Commission visits.
* Willingness to learn NDIS. There's an NDIS midterm audit in April. The GM is taking the lead on it, but she wants to take you on that journey so you can learn the ropes.
* Driver Licence. You'll need to take infrequent visits to satellite office and local NDIS facilities (pool cars available).
* Full working rights in Australia. VISA Sponsorship is not available for this role
If you want a role where you can actually sleep at night because you're doing things the right way, let's have a chat.
