We currently have an opportunity for a Casual Security Officer. Join our Health and Education team at Sunshine Coast University Hospital and play a key role in providing a safe and secure environment for all staff and visitors to sites. Reporting to the Security Manager, you'll help deliver high‐quality outcomes that support our essential services.
What You'll Do (key responsibilities)
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
* You'll be responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, visitors and the protection of the Health Precinct property and assets.
* The role also has some responsibility, if required, for the effective and efficient delivery of Car Parking Services throughout the Health Precinct.
* Issuing and management of keys and access cards.
* Checking of goods removed from sites and control of incoming goods.
* Assist in emergency situations and attend to first‐aid incidents.
* Monitoring of alarms and CCTV systems, responding to alarms or distress calls.
* Submission of reports.
What You'll Bring (experience required)
* The ideal candidate will have proven experience in security, preferably in a health facility, correctional facility, police force or defence unit.
* Experience in the role of Security Officer/Crowd Controller at varying sites.
* Experience with CCTV and control room monitoring.
* Current Queensland Security License.
* Queensland Driver's License.
* Current First Aid and CPR qualification (or a copy of the application).

Please note, as a prerequisite for this role candidates will be required to complete work‐rights checks, pre‐employment medical checks, Working with Children Checks, AFP National Police History certificates and reference checks.
This role requires staff members working at applicable sites to have immunisations in order to work on site, and the Company may require staff members to provide evidence of vaccinations or immunity from time to time.
