Heavy Vehicle Plant Mechanic
Council is seeking to appoint a permanent full time Heavy Vehicle Plant Mechanic to contribute to Council's success.
* Exposure to a vast array of machinery and vehicles, workshop and field service work
* 9-day fortnight roster | Currently trialling 4-day work week
* Located at Gladstone Depot | Hourly Rate of $49.05
About the Role
The purpose of this position is to provide efficient mechanical servicing and maintenance to Council's fleet and plant.
You will bring:
* Certificate III automotive or plant mechanical trade qualification or equivalent qualifications.
* Demonstrate relevant analytical, technical and planning skills and experience.
* Knowledge of relevant Australian Design Rules.
* Knowledge of relevant Queensland Transport regulations and legislation.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
* Sound communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient keyboard skills and experience using Microsoft Office Suite and operating corporate business systems.
* Legally able to drive a motor vehicle in Queensland.

To be eligible for this position, the candidate must have applicable working rights.
This position requires immunisation against Hepatitis A/B and Tetanus.
