Position Title: Construction Finance Controller
Company Name: Crownover Company Inc.
Pay Range: $60,000 - $70,000+ per year, plus commission & year-end bonus

Job Overview
Crownover Company Inc. is seeking a high-performing, hands-on Construction Finance Controller to lead the company's financial operations and shape strategic financial initiatives. As Controller, you'll work closely with the Integrator and Senior Management Team to drive sustainable growth, ensure financial transparency, and optimize profitability in a dynamic residential construction and remodeling business.

Key Responsibilities

* Company Forecasting & Budgets
o Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company goals.
o Lead annual budgeting and provide forecasts and projections.
o Assess financial risks and opportunities; offer recommendations.
o Establish KPI's and track financial performance and efficiency.
* Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable
o Oversee accurate and timely invoicing and payments.
o Manage collections and vendor relationships.
o Monitor and forecast cash flow.
o Develop and refine cash management policies.
* Accounting & Reporting
o Prepare accurate and timely financial statements.
o Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities.
o Provide financial insights to support executive decision-making.
o Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and regulations.
* Payroll
o Process payroll timely and accurately.
o Maintain compliance with payroll tax requirements.
o Generate payroll-related reports and maintain secure records.
o Communicate payroll-related information to employees.
* Taxes
o Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors for audits and filings.
* Asset Acquisitions
o Evaluate potential acquisitions and perform ROI analysis.
o Lead due diligence, manage financing options, and oversee integration of acquired assets.
* Professional Relationships
o Foster strong relationships with investors, lenders, insurance reps, and regulatory authorities.
o Represent Crownover in financial matters with transparency.
o Oversee banking relationships and credit facility negotiations.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
* 5-7+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a senior finance or supervisory role.
* Experience in the construction or service-based industries strongly preferred.
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
* Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks; experience with Buildertrend a plus.
* Expertise in construction financial processes (job costing, invoicing, cash flow).
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to hold team members accountable while fostering a collaborative work environment.
* Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving, and forecasting skills.
* A solutions-focused, forward-thinking mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.

Work Schedule
