Distribution & Investor Relations Associate – Private Equity
We are working exclusively with a specialist private equity manager to appoint a Distribution Associate to their Sydney-based team. Our client has a focused strategy and a strong track record, and this role sits at the heart of their distribution and investor relations function.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Investor Relations and working closely with the firm's principals, this is a broad and genuinely client-facing role. You will be in front of investors — attending meetings, supporting roadshows, and building relationships across the wholesale and family office channels. This is not a back-office support role; you'll be expected to represent the firm professionally and contribute to conversations with sophisticated investors from day one.
Responsibilities will include:
* Attending investor meetings and roadshows alongside senior distribution and investment professionals
* Supporting active fundraising efforts across the wholesale adviser and family office markets, including pipeline tracking, materials preparation, and meeting coordination
* Managing ongoing investor relationships — handling queries, providing portfolio updates, and delivering a high-quality investor experience
* Preparing investor-facing communications including quarterly reports, DDQ responses, fund updates, and bespoke investor correspondence
* Maintaining CRM records and producing regular pipeline and reporting summaries for senior stakeholders
* Conducting market and competitor research to support distribution strategy
About You
You'll be polished, commercially sharp, and completely comfortable in a room with sophisticated investors. You carry yourself with the kind of professionalism and credibility that an institutional manager demands, and you understand that distribution at this level is built on trust and long-term relationship quality as much as product knowledge.
Ideally you will bring:
* 2–6 years of experience in a distribution, investor relations, or client-facing role within financial services. Funds management experience is beneficial
* An institutional approach to everything you do: your communications, your preparation, your follow-through
* Strong written and verbal communication skills — you can write a clear investor update and hold a credible conversation with a sophisticated counterpart
* High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
