Dementia Consultant Job Description
Deliver exceptional support to individuals living with dementia, their families, and caregivers. This role requires expertise in understanding the impact of dementia on each individual, equipping carers and clinicians with knowledge to prevent and respond to behavior changes.
Responsibilities:
* Support and empower individuals affected by dementia to lead fulfilling lives.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans that address the unique needs of each person.
* Conduct assessments to understand the holistic experience of individuals and their care networks.
* Develop reports and recommendations that inform evidence-based best practices.
Requirements:
* Expertise in supporting people living with dementia.
* Experience in Australian residential aged care and/or community aged care.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* A current Australian driver's license and willingness to travel.
* Empathy and patience are essential for this role.
