About our Centre
Welcome to Milestones Early Learning Tamworth CBDWe're passionate about educating our children to know the importance and benefits of healthy choices and nutritious meals. We are a 90-placecentre now on the lookout for our next Cook to join our fun-loving team on a permanent part-time basis, working from 8 am - 3:30 pm.
The role
* This role enables you to play an active part in creating healthy menus.
* You'll have access to a national network of centre cooks who regularly share recipes, questions, ideas and tips
* You'll also be encouraged to utilise the amazing feed Australia program – a free program enabling cooks to plan, budget and access healthy menus to enable children's growth and development while in child care.
About you
* Efficient and capable cook
* Able to prepare, implement and evaluate the nutritional content of menus for children of all ages
* Experienced in bulk meal preparation, online ordering, stock management and budget control
* Strict about complying with relevant food safety and hygiene regulations and standards
* Able to cater for individual child requirements including allergies, specific dietary requirements and needs
* Keen to participate in the early educational opportunities of teaching children about healthy food by sharing in lessons and family events
You already have
* Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery / equivalent (desirable)
* Experience in an early childhood setting
* Reliable transport to and from our centre
* Current first aid certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training) and resuscitation certificate
