We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Project Manager based in our Perth, WA office.
This role involves working in our programme management office (PMO) and supporting various infrastructure projects.
Job Description
As an Assistant Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:
1. Project reporting: Planning for governance reporting cycles, managing interfaces with client project leads, collating information, preparing reports, and seeking approvals.
2. Progress meetings: Arranging, attending, and sometimes chairing meetings with client project leads and support teams to facilitate project scope progression.
3. Stakeholder coordination: Identifying stakeholders, liaising with all parties to capture relevant issues, inputs, and restrictions affecting project outcomes.
4. Procurement coordination: Drafting contracts, preparing tenders, managing bids, analyzing proposals, and awarding contracts for consultants and contractors.
5. Approvals & planning: Collaborating with the project team to secure necessary building approvals.
6. Contract management: Ensuring compliance with contract terms, processing payments, and managing changes.
7. Risk and issues management: Early identification of risks and implementing mitigations to minimize issues.
8. Quality management: Coordinating to ensure adherence to quality standards in design and construction.
9. Capital forecasting: Planning and forecasting project expenditures.
Qualifications
* Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or equivalent.
* 1–2 years of industry experience in a project management role.
* Power BI skills are preferable.
* Experience in reporting and stakeholder management.
