Aged Care Deloraine located in Deloraine, Tasmania, prides themselves on their commitment to delivering excellent residential care in a supportive environment.
They are currently seeking applications from motivated Registered Nurses, who support an innovative changing business, designed to deliver the very best care for their clients.
The Role
This is a permanent full-time role with an annual salary set between $75,000 to $90,000 plus superannuation and is based in Deloraine, Tasmania.
Responsibilities
1. Provide nursing care within limits specified by education and the National Competency Standards for the Registered Nurse.
2. Assist in managing shift staff for day-to-day organizational functioning, directing staff as required (manage the floor).
3. Report and document all reportable incidents, including Serious Incident Response Scheme (SIRS) reporting as per ACD policies and procedures.
4. Assist to fill roster vacancies out of hours as required.
5. Work across all shifts rostered, e.g., morning, afternoon, and night.
6. Work across multiple facilities if and when required.
7. Ensure all care staff carry out their duties in accordance with policy and position descriptions.
8. Support and lead the Enrolled Nurses in providing professional clinical leadership.
9. Act in a professional manner, maintaining confidentiality on all issues within the organisation, and keeping good lines of communication with all staff.
10. Display professionalism, teamwork, and commitment at all times and act in accordance with Aged Care Deloraine's Inc Code of Conduct.
11. Comply with all State and Federal Laws, organisation policies and procedures, and Quality Standards.
12. Participate in and contribute to quality improvement programs and other organisational activities to meet quality standards and promote quality improvement of services provided.
13. Participate in annual mandatory training and ongoing personal and professional development.
14. Attend and participate in staff meetings. Report to staff meetings on matters as required.
15. Comply with NDIS Worker Screening Requirements under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (Worker Screening - Practice Standard) Rules 2018.

Requirements
1. At least 6 years relevant nursing experience in aged or acute care.
2. A Bachelor degree in Nursing.
3. Current AHPRA registration.
4. Committed to aged care documentation and Case Management.
5. Reliable and able to maintain a safe and high standard of practice.
6. Good time management and ability to lead a team.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
8. Competent medication management.
9. Undergo and maintain a current National Police Check and have no convictions that exclude you from working in aged care as per the Aged Care Act 1997.
