The Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine (ACPSEM) is a professional college that certifies, registers and promotes Medical Physicists, Radiopharmaceutical Scientists and Biomedical Engineers across Australia and New Zealand. ACPSEM sets the professional standards that underpin the certification and registration programs they offer to members and promotes and regulates the science and practice of their fields through research and advocacy, with the aim of giving millions of patients across Australia and New Zealand the best quality treatments administered by highly trained professionals.
Reporting to ACPSEM's Directors, the Chief Executive Officer will work with the Board to develop and implement a strategic plan to guide and grow the organisation, as well as representing ACPSEM at events, member meetings and with the broader community. They are responsible for leading and managing ACPSEM's core team as well as a large volunteer workforce of physicists and scientists who set, examine and ensure the governance of professional standards. The Chief Executive Officer will focus on ACPSEM's financial health, sustainability and operations across member services, education program and policy management, which will involve forming relationships with key health system and industry stakeholders.
To be successful in this position, you will be an existing Chief Executive Officer or up and coming executive with a results driven track record of exceeding goals and a high level of business acumen. Your excellent stakeholder engagement skills and inclusive people leadership approach will stand you in good stead, as will an understanding of and ideally experience in not for profit, member based and/or health organisations.
