Role and Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality administrative support within the Patient Services Department, including assistance with medical records and managing internal and external communications.
- Assist with switchboard operations and register inpatients, outpatients, and day patients (elective and emergency cases).
- Monitor alarms, emergency procedures, and operate paging and public address systems to ensure smooth hospital operations.
- Contribute to the seamless delivery of care by supporting efficient administrative processes across the facility.
About You / Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in clerical/administrative support, including maintenance of records and systems.
- Experience with office procedures and equipment (photocopier, printers, facsimile, etc.).
- Experience with computer-based resources (e.g., Microsoft Office, email, Excel, data entry).
Immunisation and Compliance
- Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category B (indirect contact with blood or body substances).
- Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and Immunisation compliance as indicated on the Role description.
- SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
