The Greater Whitsunday Mental Health Service at the Proserpine Hospital is seeking applications from an Occupational Therapist or Psychologist or Social Worker or Clinical Nurse to join their team on a permanent basis.
About the Team
This position is part of the Greater Whitsunday Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Service and involves providing mental health and AOD services to outreach sites of the Whitsunday region including Airlie Beach, Cannonvale, Bowen and Collinsville. The position is based at Proserpine Hospital. There is the expectation that successful applicant would travel to Mackay for training as required.

Your opportunity
* The Mental Health Clinician provides advanced level clinical skills to ensure patient-focused evidence-based nursing care, plans and coordinates the clinical management of patient/client care and provides leadership and support to other nursing staff within the Greater Whitsunday Mental Health & AOD Service.
* Work within a multidisciplinary team to provide mental health case-management services to all clients with a chronic and/or severe mental illness. Case-management will include intake, assessment, intervention, and treatment, crisis support functions as well as group work as required, in accordance with professional standards and legislation (Mental Health ACT 2000; State and National plans and policies).
