Overview
Project Security Officer, Data Centre Security role at Amazon Web Services (AWS). Site-based role responsible for assisting the project team to manage physical security in line with client security requirements and the project security plan.
Responsibilities
* Serve as the AWS primary security liaison maintaining daily communication with Regional Security Manager, Data Centre Security Manager, client security representatives, certifying authorities and other relevant personnel.
* Provide comprehensive security oversight throughout the construction phase, ensuring delivery of fit-for-purpose and certifiable facilities through attendance at security assurance Hold and Witness Point inspections.
* Collation of security assurance reports to the AWS Security Assurance Team. Document and track security-related issues and incidents.
* Appropriate management, response and recording of any security issues or incidents occurring throughout the construction phase as per the Security Response Plan.
* Monitor and maintain compliance with project security requirements, proactively identifying potential security risks and implementing mitigation strategies throughout the construction phase.
* Ability to facilitate meetings with clients, resolve issues, and report on matters relating to security compliance.
* Bring high-level attention to detail, and a meticulous, process driven approach.
* This position requires the candidate to maintain relevant security clearances and accreditations as per project requirements. Experience in construction security oversight or related field is highly desirable.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
* 2+ years' experience working in a Physical Security Operations position.
* Demonstrated knowledge of Physical Security best practices which includes the application of Physical Security Systems, Investigation Techniques and Security Incident Management.
* Demonstrable experience managing Security Operations in complex environments.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working in a high security environment.
* Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and can learn quickly.
* Driven to provide internal and external customers with responsive and unparalleled support and you are dedicated to meet and fulfill the customer's expectations.
* Desire to step outside the box and take ownership of projects and domains not in your range of expertise.
