Overview
This leading Australian private credit investment manager specialises in real estate and mid-market corporate debt solutions. Their investments are underpinned by a rigorous risk management framework, enabling robust returns and sustainable growth for investors. The firm operates across the capital structure with a focus on real estate development capital, including senior and mezzanine debt, and is also active in direct property acquisition and syndication. They are seeking a Senior Associate / Associate Director in Real Estate Private Credit (Risk) to join the team. Based in Sydney and reporting to the head of the investment risk team, you will work closely with the wider real estate business to ensure effective, accurate and timely delivery of analysis and investment papers across a variety of senior and mezzanine debt transactions.
You will support ongoing project and investment monitoring, as well as the management of systems and databases to ensure accurate data flow to investors, finance and management. A key aspect of success will be delivering high-quality transaction analysis and providing insights that support business growth, with scope to contribute to ad hoc projects when required.
Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate and timely analysis and investment papers across senior and mezzanine debt transactions in real estate private credit.
- Support ongoing project and investment monitoring.
- Assist in managing systems and databases to ensure accurate data flow to investors, finance and management.
- Provide high-quality transaction analysis and insights that support business growth, with opportunity to contribute to ad hoc projects.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification with 5–10 years’ experience in structured real estate finance, gained in banking, non-bank lending or private credit environments.
- Strong credit risk underwriting and analysis skills on transactions, ideally with exposure to large institutional property transactions.
- Experience reviewing finance and security documentation, supporting investment structuring and advanced financial modelling expertise, including cash flow analysis.
- Ability to work across complex transactions with multiple stakeholders; highly regarded.
