Integration Developer (12 months), NT Gov (Welcome anyone willing to relocate to Darwin)
NT Gov is seeking an experienced Integration developer to support the development of integrations within the new Education Management System (EMS) and other IT projects and programs across the Division. The Integration developer is required to undertake technical design and development of business systems using application development standards.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Demonstrated skill in writing multi-layered applications with C# .Net / Web Applications / SQL Server.
* Experience with Web Services, mainframe integration or message queues such as IBM MQ.
* Experience with .Net MVC or WebAPI or ServiceStack framework.
* Experience with modern version control systems such as Git, Mercurial, or Subversion.
* Experience in writing unit tests.
* Experience with issue tracking toolsets such as JIRA.
* Experience working with a business analyst during requirements gathering.
* Experience in technical architecture design, application development and programming to develop well‑designed solutions.
* Tertiary qualifications in information technology, computer science or software engineering.
* Well‑developed organisational skills with ability to work within a project team to deliver solutions within agreed timeframes while maintaining quality standards.
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Previous experience in designing and developing solutions for NTG business systems is preferred.
* Experience with Desktop UI development, preferably WPF.
* Experience with an Object Relational Mapping framework such as NHibernate, LLBLGen or Entity Framework.
* Experience in designing relational databases using Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.
* Experience with unit testing such as NUnit.
* Experience with InterSystems IRIS and/or ObjectScript, particularly in building or supporting integrations (e.g. services, operations, BPL).
