Production TIG Welder
Our very busy client currently requires a day shift Production TIG Welder, to carry out hand welding of production parts in accordance with plans and production schedules.
This is a full-time position between 6.00am – 2.30pm.
Immediate start available for the right candidate.
The Production TIG Welder will:
- assemble and clamp metal components into weld jigs
- cut, grind, drill and dress metal components in preparation for welding
- adjust weld settings to suit welded components
- TIG weld production components together
- inspect welded assemblies for weld quality and correct assembly and keep a record of daily operations
- maintain cleanliness of the general working area
- work as part of a team as required.
To succeed in this role you must be:
- a competent production TIG welder,
- able to use hand metal working tools,
- able to carry out repetitive tasks quickly and methodically,
- physically fit,
- a self starter,
- able to read engineering drawings,
- able to work with limited supervision,
- aware of protected work practices,
- focused on attention to detail,
- able to TIG weld
