The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the physical, emotional, and social factors affecting families today and experience in implementing innovative strategies to support engagement.This role offers the opportunity to work within a center, clients' homes, and outreach settings.Skills and ExperienceStrong communication and customer service skills with the ability to engage with diverse communitiesKnowledge and skills relevant to the provision of the Victorian Local Government Maternal and Child Health serviceWell-developed understanding of women’s health issues, particularly post-natal depression, and the ability to use the Edinburgh Post Natal Depression ScaleKnowledge of the specific needs of families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds (CALD), including First Nations familiesExperience in facilitating community education/health promotion programs for infants, young children, and their familiesUnderstanding of Child Information Sharing Schemes, Family Violence Information Sharing Schemes, MARAM, and Child Safe StandardsRequirementsRegistration as a Nurse and Midwife with AHPRAQualifications in Maternal Child Health/Family Health NursingCurrent Victorian Driver’s LicenseEmployee Working with Children’s CheckSatisfactory National Police Check completed in the past 6 monthsOther pre-employment checks as requiredBenefitsAs a City of Monash employee, your personal and professional development is a key focus for us.
