* Leading fire protection company with a national footprintOur Hervey Bay Branch are currently seeking a motivated Fire Equipment / Extinguisher Technician to look after our client base in the surrounding Bundaberg/Hervey Bay region.
Previous fire experience is preferred, but not essential. We are happy to train and develop the right applicant.

The Role
A great opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and energetic Fire Equipment/Extinguisher Technician with a 'can-do' attitude to join our Central Queensland team. Servicing Bundaberg and Hervey Bay region this is a full-time position offering the successful candidate career progression opportunities with one of the leading Fire Protection Companies in Australia.
If required, Wormald will provide training to complete licencing requirements in the first 6 months of employment resulting in a nationally recognised Certificate II in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing.
Working in a strong team environment, your solid work ethic and high degree of customer satisfaction will see you well rewarded with attractive wages, standard 40-hour week (Monday to Friday), with RDO and overtime rates for any extra hours, as a well as a fully maintained commercial vehicle to enable you to perform your duties.
Your primary duties will include:-
* Testing and repairs of fire protection equipment to Australian Standards including but not limited to fire extinguishers, fire hoses, fire blankets
* Liaising with customers, fostering a courteous and professional business relationship
* Ensuring compliance to Environmental Health and Safety requirements
* Completing service records using smart device technology
* Fire Equipment product sales across a diverse range of industries
To be considered for this role, ideally you will need to have:
* Fire industry experience, would be highly regarded but not essential
* Current Driver's Licence
* Strong focus and commitment to workplace safety
* Excellent customer service and time management
* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
* Good personal presentation
* Willingness to multi-skill into other areas of fire protection
* Good computer/smart device technology skills
