We have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Health & Safety Coordinator to join our team in Warrnambool, Victoria. In this role you will be required to help support our OH&S team in implementing, maintaining and promoting workplace health and safety systems, procedures and initiatives across The Midfield Group sites. This role is ideal for someone starting their career in safety management and looking to gain hands on experience in a dynamic industrial environment.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
* Assist in the development, implementation, and review of OHS policies, procedures and safe work practices
* Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments under supervision
* Support incident reporting, investigation and corrective action processes
* Assist with maintaining safety records, training registers and compliance documentation
* Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks to promote awareness and engagement
* Support injury management and return-to-work coordination as required
* Contribute to safety performance reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
* Ensure compliance with relevant OHS legislation, company policies and industry standard
Skills & Experiences
* Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety
* Understanding of workplace health and safety principles and legislation
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Committed to promoting a safe and positive workplace culture
* Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take direction from senior staff
* Previous experience in a manufacturing, food processing, or industrial environment desirable but not essential

The successful candidate must be available to participate in a rotating roster which includes morning (AM) and afternoon (PM) shifts, to provide safety coverage and support across all operational hours.
