Join Alexandrina Council as a Leading Worker Environment, where you'll deliver hands-on conservation and maintenance works across bushland, wetlands and coastal areas—making a real impact in your local community.
From coastal reserves like Ratalang Basham Beach to wetlands, roadsides and biodiversity areas, this is your chance to be part of work that protects and enhances our environment for the community.
What you'll be doing
* Leading a small team delivering environmental maintenance and conservation works
* Supervising day-to-day activities, contractors, plant and equipment
* Carrying out bush care, revegetation, weed and pest control, and fire mitigation
* Working across coastal, rural and urban natural areas
* Ensuring strong safety practices and quality outcomes
* Keeping records and reporting on works completed
What you'll bring
Experience in natural area management, conservation or bush care
* Strong knowledge of pest plants and weed control (including chemical use)
* Ability to lead from the front and support a team on the ground
* Good communication skills and a practical, can-do attitude
* Ability to plan, prioritise and work independently
Essential requirements
* Certificate III in Conservation & Land Management (or higher)
* Current Driver's Licence
* Chainsaw certificate
* Chemical handling experience
* White Card
* Traffic Management certification

Additional information
* Based at Goolwa Works Depot (with travel across the region)
* Some after-hours or emergency response work may be required
* Pre-employment medical and functional assessment applies
