The opportunity
Salt House has an opportunity for an experienced Payroll & Accounts Assistant to join our team. The role will work closely with the Finance Manager to support and improve financial operations, practices, and service delivery. This is a full-time salaried position with flexible hours.
Qualifications & experience
* Experience in MYOB is preferable, and a high degree of computer literacy is required.
* Essential minimum 2 years' work experience in accounts payable and payroll positions.
* Working knowledge of payroll legislation is an advantage.
Tasks & responsibilities
You will have experience in financial operations, payroll and administration. This includes, but is not limited to:
* Maintaining accurate payroll records, by collating, checking, calculating, and preparing payroll input data for joiners, leavers, and existing employee changes. Experience using Tanda would be an advantage.
* Processing weekly payroll and managing payroll related queries, proactively resolving them, or escalating when necessary.
* Ensuring all payroll regulatory filings are completed and statutory reporting deadlines are met.
* Displaying sensitivity, discretion, and integrity in dealing with confidential and sensitive HR matters.
* Performing day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable and receivable and other administrative functions as required.
* General data entry, filing and other duties as directed.
* A high attention to detail and great communication skills are essential.
