Upper Murray Family Care (UMFC) is seeking a Family Services Practitioner to join our Family Services Team on a Full-time basis .

The Role
As a Family Services Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and families across Victoria. Working with referrals from The Orange Door, you’ll walk alongside families as they navigate complex challenges, empowering them to build safer, stronger, and more connected lives.
In this dynamic and deeply rewarding role, you will:
* Provide holistic case coordination using a strengths-based, trauma-informed lens
* Collaborate with children, young people and families to set goals and skill development
* Work therapeutically with parents, carers, and children, helping them build resilience, restore relationships, and create lasting change
* Co-facilitate evidence-informed group programs that promote parenting skills, emotional wellbeing, and community connection
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary network of professionals and services to ensure wraparound support
* Contribute to service innovation and quality improvement, helping shape best practice in family support
About You
You are a compassionate and capable professional who is ready to make a real impact. You bring a blend of experience, empathy, and insight to your work with children and families. Ideally, you will have:
* Relevant qualifications and/or experience in Social Work, Psychology, Welfare Studies, or a related discipline
* Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build trust, engage meaningfully, and collaborate across teams and services
* Therapeutic expertise in working with families facing vulnerability, complexity, or trauma
* Solid understanding of trauma-informed family services frameworks
* Emotional intelligence and adaptability, with a commitment to reflective practice and ongoing professional development
