We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Social Worker to join our team at Doomadgee State School. You will collaborate within the student support team to enhance access to wellbeing and mental health services, helping create a stronger, healthier school community.

Role

The focus of the role is to provide support for students with mild to moderate mental health concerns. Wellbeing professionals work as part of the student support team to enhance wellbeing and mental health support available to students.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess client needs and develop care plans
• Provide counselling, therapy, and group work
• Facilitate referrals to allied health professionals
• Coordinate services to support student wellbeing
• Support school communities in responding to critical incidents and emergencies as part of the school response team
• Participate as a member of a multi‐disciplinary team within an educational setting, providing support to school, community and inter‐agency networks
