We're looking for a passionate Mental Health Practitioner for an established community-focused organisation. This identified role is perfect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander practitioners who are committed to empowering individuals to improve their mental health and wellbeing.

About the Role

As a Mental Health Practitioner, you will deliver high-quality, person-led mental health services within a multidisciplinary team. You'll provide therapeutic interventions, wellbeing coaching, and crisis support for individuals, families, and groups, with a particular focus on First Nations practice. You'll work closely with leadership to ensure culturally safe and informed care.

What You'll Be Doing

* Conduct assessments, risk management, and develop personalised mental health plans
* Provide evidence-based counselling and therapeutic interventions
* Deliver wellbeing coaching, workshops, and support groups
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals
* Educate clients and families about mental health supports and strategies
* Build and maintain strong relationships with community organisations and stakeholders
* Maintain accurate client records in line with organisational and professional standards

What We're Looking For

* Identification as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person
* Registration with relevant professional body (AHPRA, ACA, PACFA)
* Minimum 3 years' experience in counselling, preferably in mental health
* Strong understanding of mental health issues, treatment approaches, and community resources
* Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
* High cultural competence and sensitivity
* Current Class C driver licence, roadworthy vehicle, Blue Card, and National Workers Screening
