2 x Project Managers - Government Building & Infrastructure Projects

IPA by Synergies ' client is currently seeking two experienced Project Managers to join a high-performing delivery team working on complex building and infrastructure projects across the Townsville region. These temporary full-time roles offer the opportunity to manage the full project lifecycle for significant public sector works, with potential for extension based on project needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee all phases of building project delivery including pre-design, design, documentation, contract administration, and post-construction
* Coordinate activities between internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and other key stakeholders
* Manage contracts across both traditional and non-traditional procurement models
* Ensure projects meet agreed scope, time, cost, cash flow, and quality targets, while also achieving internal profitability goals
* Lead and manage project teams-ensuring alignment, accountability, and effective communication across all contributors
* Engage in complex negotiations with consultants, local authorities, clients, and contractors to ensure value-for-money outcomes
* Monitor and report on time and cost performance, identifying and escalating variances as needed
* Support the preparation and approval of client billing for services delivered
* Adhere to and promote internal quality assurance procedures and standards
* Provide mentoring and leadership to junior project staff and other team members
* Manage staff performance, conduct, and workload proactively to maintain team efficiency and project success
What You'll Bring
* Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end construction or infrastructure projects
* Strong background in contract coordination and stakeholder management
* Sound understanding of construction processes, building compliance, and project delivery best practice
* Excellent organisational, communication, and negotiation skills
* Proven ability to lead teams, coordinate across departments, and manage time and cost performance
* Experience within the government or public infrastructure sector highly regarded
