**The Bethanie Group** is the largest not for profit provider of aged care services and retirement villages in Western Australia, providing over 60 years of professional care services between Geraldton and Bunbury. With a company size of around 1,800 people across 24 locations, we are a diverse and complex business.

Central to our mission, Bethanie established Bethanie Housing Limited (BHL) to provide low cost housing to over 55's. We have approximately 500 dwellings across the Perth Metro, Mandurah and Bunbury region which offer quality housing that's affordable and well appointed. We are a growth provider of community housing with the Department of Communities (Housing Authority).

We are seeking a **Manager of Housing** to oversee the operational management and effective delivery of Bethanie's Housing services. Your primary function is to ensure that tenancy and property management services are provided efficiently and effectively and in accordance with operating legislation and service agreements. This includes managing a small team of Tenancy Managers across the three regional areas. Additionally you will form key relationships with the Department of Communities (Housing Authority) as a key stakeholder.

You will provide strong leadership and direction to direct reports and a true advocate for upholding our corporate values ("Living the 6"). You will be innovative and work cohesively with Tenancy Managers to ensure the delivery of high quality services are in line with Housing Standards. You pride yourself on your high level of customer service and enjoy the interaction with clients.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Providing strong leadership and direction to direct reports and ensure teams deliver outstanding customer service and experiences
- Effectively manage customers' interests and expectations - including satisfactory resolution of complaints and concerns.
- Work with Tenancy Managers and broader Bethanie teams (Clinical, People & Culture, Property Development, and Central Services) to ensure the delivery of high quality services that are in line with Housing standards
- Identify opportunities to make improvements to financial, customer and staff outcomes and implement change management strategies
- Full financial responsibility including budget setting and ongoing budget management.
- Ensure team liaise effectively and develop strong relationships with other stakeholders within the organisation, including Maintenance Department to ensure assets are maintained to the required standard
- Relieve Tenancy Managers where required during times of leave.
- Be the principal point of contact for, and responsibility of all community housing agreements and contracts between Bethanie and the WA state government
- Continually evaluate and report on delivery outcomes / KPIs and measure effectiveness, making changes where necessary
- Oversee compliance with the requirements of external service agreement, contracts, legislative and accreditation frameworks
- A comprehensive understanding of the Occupational Safety & Health (WA) 1984 Act to ensure policies are complied with at all times.

**Essential Criteria**
- Strong effective leadership capability
- Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to work collaboratively with others
- Ability to communicate effectively, at all levels, including the ability to negotiate, consult and facilitate stakeholder's interest
- Experience in driving commercial astute business units to optimise service, financial and human resources outcomes
- Previous management level experience within Aged Care, Retirement / Independent Living, Community Housing Services or Hospitality Services
- Recognised tertiary qualification in Business, Property or related discipline
