Eyre Eye Centre Port Lincoln is a progressive, locally trusted optometry practice with a team of 12. We are passionate about improving the vision and lives of our community by delivering exceptional eye care and eyewear—while providing a warm, personalised experience for every patient.
We are currently seeking a friendly and capable Optical Assistant to join our front-of-house team in a customer-facing role. Optical experience is welcomed but not essential — full training will be provided for the right candidate.

About the role
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, is confident with computers and administration tasks, and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service. You will work closely with our optometrists and support team to ensure a seamless patient journey from start to finish.

Key responsibilities
* Assisting patients with frame and lens selection
* Dispensing prescriptions prescribed by the optometrist
* Providing high-quality patient care and support
* Performing ancillary testing to support optometrists
* Reception duties and general administration
* Maintaining professional standards and contributing to a positive team culture

About You
* Previous experience in retail and/or customer service
* Strong computer and administrative skills
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
* Professional presentation and a caring approach
* Adaptable, motivated, and eager to learn
* Flexible availability and willingness to pick up additional hours when required
